چکیده

Abstract The adoption of Additive Manufacturing (AM) has gradually transformed the fashion industry through innovation and technology over last decade. Novel AM systems techniques are continuously being developed, leading to application polymers with textiles fabrics in industry. This work investigates development testing polymer–textile composites using polylactic acid (PLA) filaments on synthetic mesh direct material extrusion (ME). An aspect this paper highlights appropriate combination printing material, textile substrate, printer settings achieve excellent adhesion. Details process create described, as interfacial strength results T-peel tests, observed failure modes post-testing. peel strengths for different ME bonded examined used identify compatibility materials. visualised potential onto a material-joining approach new functionalisation, multi-material composite explorations innovative aesthetic print techniques. also adds limited knowledge composites, which can provide helpful information designers researchers develop applications facilitate future research smart embedded programmable textiles.

Characterization of Additive Manufactured Objects

Hybrid Layered Manufacturing (HLM) combines the benefits of both subtractive and Additive Manufacturing (AM). In this paper authors did characterization of AM components by using Kernel Average Misorientation (KAM), Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and hardness tester. The main focus is on matrix integrity during Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) deposition and surface quality during machinin...

Mechanical Properties of a Newly Additive Manufactured Implant Material Based on Ti-42Nb

The application of Ti-6Al-4V alloy or commercially pure titanium for additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of complex structural implants and patient-specific implant geometries. However, the difference in Young's modulus of α + β-phase Ti alloys compared to the human bone promotes stress-shielding effects in the implant-bone interphase. The aim of the present study is the mechanical c...

Testing the Quality of Manufactured

We consider the problem of testing the roundness of a manufactured object using the nger probing model of Cole and Yap 2]. When the object being tested is a disk and it's center is known, we describe a procedure which uses O(n) probes and O(n) computation time. (Here n = j1=qj, where q is the quality of the object.) When the center of the object is not known, a procedure using O(n) probes and O...

Development, Testing and characterization of Epoxy-Cotton Fiber - Polymer Composites

Natural fibers have been used to reinforce materials for many years. More currently they have been employed in combination with plastics. Many types of natural fibers have been investigated for use in plastics including flax, hemp, jute, cotton and banana. Natural fibers have the advantage that they are renewable resources and have marketing appeal. These agricultural wastes can be used to prep...
